Electrical Project EngineerForest Electric NY is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The candidate will be responsible for developing and managing detailed 3D models of electrical systems for commercial projects using Revit and AutoCAD.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage detailed 3D models of electrical systems for commercial projects using Revit and AutoCADCoordinate with other trades (e.g., mechanical, plumbing, structural) to ensure proper integration of electrical systems using Navisworks for 3D coordination and clash detectionAttend on-site and virtual coordination meetings with General Contractor and other tradesCreate detailed installation drawings for all electrical system components including equipment, conduit, and supportsCollaborate and communicate with team members to ensure project goals are metVerify that drawings and installations comply with applicable codes and specificationsPerform electrical load calculations, ampacity adjustments, and voltage drop analysis to ensure reliability and compliance with codesConduct project site visits to gather necessary data for accurate drafting and documentationRegular, predictable, and reliable on-site attendance is an essential function of the jobQualificationsMinimum 5+ years of experience in a high-volume contractor design and drafting environment or a Bachelor's in Construction Management or Engineering preferredProficient with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in draftingAbility to interpret and translate construction drawingsProven ability to design and draft basic electrical systemsStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamWork EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
