Electrical EngineerBR+A Consulting Engineers seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer in our Charleston, SC office. Candidates must be strongly motivated, well organized, and show professional initiative. The ability to take ownership of assignments and perform well both independently and as part of the project team is necessary.The ideal candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of Revit, and their responsibilities will include:Providing engineering, design work and drafting of plansImplementing approved system concepts from a schematic diagram to floor plansSketching rough layouts to review with Project Engineer or Project ManagerReviewing product cut sheets and technical informationCommunicating with Project Manager/Project Engineer regarding potential problemsMeeting with vendors to determine spatial requirements for the application of the productAttending meetings as requiredSubmitting the required documentation per project deadlines and milestonesAttending in-house coordination meetings when appropriateDeveloping a strategy to meet the projects' scheduleAssisting in the development of engineering systems concepts (M/E)Assisting the design team on major design issuesOrganizing required technical correspondence, emails, and calculationsPerforming fieldwork and verification of existing conditionsEssential Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong understanding of engineering concepts, design, and spatial requirementsStrong knowledge of RevitProfessional conduct and presentationPositive attitude, result-driven and team-orientedAble to think three-dimensionallyCapable of visiting job sites to perform fieldworkDetail orientated and deadline-drivenMinimum Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringPE License10 - 15 years of related experienceBR+A is a place to learn, to grow, to work hard for clients that matter – and to be part of something bigger.
