Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for an opportunity supporting the development of sophisticated electrical, electronic, and control systems for industrial products and automated equipment.
This individual will own electrical engineering work throughout the product lifecycle, including design, troubleshooting, testing, validation, prototype development, and manufacturing support.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will work closely with Mechanical and Software Engineers to integrate electrical and control designs into complete products. The role will also partner with Product Management and Operations to define requirements, support prototype and beta builds, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure designs meet performance, safety, regulatory, quality, and manufacturing requirements.
This is a strong fit for an engineer who combines electrical design experience with hands-on laboratory and troubleshooting capabilities.
Required Skills
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3–4+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with PCB design/troubleshooting and electrical wiring
- Experience with motion control, automation, robotics, or controls
- Strong troubleshooting and production/sustaining support experience
- Ability to read block diagrams and electrical schematics
- Experience with PID loops, motors, sensors, and control systems
- Ability to support production and field service escalations
Preferred
- Fluid handling/dispensing or high-speed motion experience
- Altium and/or LabVIEW
- Hands-on lab or manufacturing experience
- Familiarity with BOMs, ECOs, and 8D problem solving
- High-speed or precision motion-control experience
- LabVIEW, Altium, or similar tools
- Hands-on lab or technician experience
