Electrical Engineer
Onsite | Direct hire Oxford Solutions has an opening with our client for an Electrical Engineer. The Electrical Engineer will perform electrical system design, calculations, and problem-solving for a range of industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. This role includes both technical design work and project leadership responsibilities. Applicants with 5 to 15+ years of experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical system designs, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and control systems.
- Perform engineering calculations such as load flow, short-circuit, voltage drop, and protective device coordination.
- Prepare and review design drawings and technical specifications using CAD software.
- Lead project teams, manage project schedules, and ensure deliverables meet client expectations.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and project coordination meetings.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase, including submittal review and field problem resolution.
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers and designers.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5 to 15+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
- Proficiency with PC-based design software and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
