Electrical EngineerThe Electrical Engineer supports facility power, controls, and automation systems used in the production of existing and new products (ProDry, nutritional, and extract products) at our Boyceville operation. This position also includes supporting future investment and upgrades of existing systems. The new team member will be the subject matter expert of all facility electrical systems.Responsibilities Include:Remain current with the technological developments in power, automation, and controlsBuild and manage a database of all plant electrical and control equipment, networks, and logic to manage reliability and obsolescenceWell-versed in all plant processes and control systems to provide support and troubleshooting as necessaryProject Support:Manage production and support systems electrical and control hardware, systems software, programs, and networks for optimum reliabilityInstall, program, and repair devices and systems that are used to control, measure, and operate production processesTroubleshoot and problem solve in the field of automation, measurement, and control technologiesCarry out systematic fault analyzes for repairsIndependently execute work according to specifications (maintenance plans)Improvement and standardization of the electrotechnical infrastructureBe a team player with effective communication and inform team of extraordinary events or important circumstancesEnsure documentation is adequate, accurate, maintained, and managedCreate risk and hazard assessments for newly planned projectsRed line drawing changes, coordinate update process, and redistributionInnovation:Represent electrical, automation, and process controls with all future processes or projectsMaintain a relationship with Innovation colleagues within the enterprise and industryAdditional Responsibilities:Optimization of systems in cooperation with R&D, engineering, production, IT and HSECreate risk assessments and weak point analyzes in the context of general occupational safety, maintenance, and repair, as well as quality management for electrical engineeringImprove energy efficiency (ISO 50.001) and maintain product safety (our highest priority) while performing job duties.Assure compliance with Client Legal & Safety ProceduresMaintain compliance with federal, state and local regulationsAttend educational workshops, review professional publications, establish personal networks and participate in professional societiesSupport and train maintenance and operations staff in automation systems to build skill set with maintaining and troubleshooting issuesManage 3rd party contractors for engineering support, installs/modifications, and with systems or equipment maintenanceAssist with the implementation of new processes for the plantSupport technical needs of plant daily operations, as necessaryRequirements:Minimum of 3 year's experience in industrial food plant processes3 - 5 years' experience working in an electrical engineering roleIndependent working style and able to deal with and handle changing prioritiesCritical thinking, complex problem solving, judgment and decision-making, system analysis, adaptability, and monitoring skillsCreative, self-starter, and flexibleProduction focus with a sound understanding of systems reliability and maintenanceAbility to work off normal schedule hours and weekends, when neededGood communication, teamwork, and reporting skillsPreferred:Previous experiences managing electrical systems and equipmentPrevious project management and production process support experienceEducation:Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalentWe offer attractive, competitive compensation and benefits including, medical, dental, 401k, short-term disability, AD&D, tuition reimbursement, and more.
