Drafter PositionCleaver Brooks is looking for a Drafter to join our team in Thomasville, GA. The Drafter prepares and maintains drawings using conventional drafting techniques, as well as a working knowledge of drafting and manufacturing systems and processes.Job Location: Thomasville, GAEssential functions:Collaborates with senior drafters and engineers to revise drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications.Converts verbal and written instructions into detailed technical drawings.Updates and maintains drawing databases, ensuring documentation is current and organized.Assists in performing drawing checks for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to drafting standards.Utilizes AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical to create and modify electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.Applies knowledge of industry standards (e.g., NEC, UL508A) to drafting practices and electrical documentation.Supports project timelines by efficiently producing and revising drawings as priorities change.Works closely with fabrication and production teams to resolve drawing-related issues during the manufacturing process.Learns and applies company-specific drafting procedures and file management systems.Demonstrates a willingness to grow technical skills and take on increasing responsibility with mentorship.Other Duties: As assignedInternal Contacts: Occasional contacts requiring the obtaining or giving of information.External Contacts: Regular contacts requiring work of non-controversial nature.Basic Requirements:Education:2-3 year Degree/certificate in Technical FieldExperience:0 to 6 months of experience in AutoCAD (AutoCAD Electrical preferred).Proficiency in reading or developing electrical schematics.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.Willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative engineering environment.Experience in boiler manufacturing or industrial systems is a plus.Experience using IFS is a plus.Physical Skill & Effort: Work requires skilled, accurate, rapid, and closely coordinated manual skill. Work involves fairly light and simple types of physical exertion.Working Conditions and Hazards: Normal plant, shop, field or office conditions.
