At CEC Pittsburgh, we pride ourselves on fostering a culture of connection, collaboration, and growth within the office and in our community.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with electrical engineer to develop electrical equipment layout, single line, embedded conduit, cable tray, heat trace, interconnecting wiring, lighting and grounding drawingsEvaluate and resolve problems by reviewing multiple sources of information and coordinating design criteria with other disciplinesDevelop conduit and cable schedules and material take-offsProvide quality oversight for electrical designs performed by othersWhen required, be the main point of contact for the electrical discipline when meeting with the project manager, other discipline leads, and the customerTrain and mentor less experienced designersGenerate electrical hour estimates to complete ongoing work and for new proposalsQualificationsAssociate's degree in Computer Aided Drafting required or High school diploma design experience required4+ years of experience working on industrial and manufacturing type projects1+ years experience working with AutoCAD and Revit, and NavisworksWorking knowledge of Bluebeam preferredPossess an understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)Ability to work with engineers and senior designers to design electrical distribution systems at low and medium voltagesProficient using Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Outlook, and ExcelAbility to perform field/site visitsAbility to travel (estimated travel time is <10%)About UsWe have experts!
