Electrical DesignerBR+A is looking for an experienced Electrical Designer in our Charlotte, NC office. The candidate will be strongly motivated, well organized, and show professional initiative. The ability to take ownership of assignments and perform well both independently and as part of the project team is necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of Revit, and their responsibilities will include:Providing engineering, design work and drafting of plansImplementing approved system concepts from a schematic diagram to floor plansSketching rough layouts to review with Project Engineer/Project ManagerReviewing product cut sheets and technical informationCommunicating with Project Manager/Project Engineer regarding potential problemsSubmitting the required documentation per project deadlines and milestonesAttending in-house coordination meetings when appropriateDeveloping a strategy to meet the projects' scheduleAssisting in the development of engineering systems concepts (M/E)Assisting the design team on major design issuesOrganizing required technical correspondence, emails, and calculationsPosition requirements:Bachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringProficient in AutoCAD and RevitEIT (Engineer in Training)Minimum of 5 years of experienceGood understanding of engineering concepts, design, and spatial requirementsExcellent organizational and communication skillsProactive and collaborative team memberPE certification is preferredExperience in designing healthcare, commercial, higher education or laboratory projects is preferredBR+A is a place to learn, to grow, and to work hard for our clients – all while being a part of something bigger.
