Electrical Designer

• Design, develop, and implement industrial control systems for custom automation projects.
• Support concept development, project proposals, and cost estimating activities.
• Create electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Design three-phase power systems (up to 575VAC), AC/DC control circuits, and integrate sensors, actuators, and other field devices.
• Select and specify electrical components while supporting design reviews and project execution.
• Partner with panel builders, manufacturing personnel, and project teams to address technical questions throughout the build process.
• Manage BOMs, purchase orders, and project-related documentation.
• Provide startup support and assist customers with troubleshooting and system-related questions.
• Contribute to HMI development and PLC programming efforts as needed (not a primary function of the role).

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in industrial controls, industrial automation, machine building, OEM equipment, drive systems, or a related industry.
• Experience developing 2D electrical schematics and control system designs.
• Exposure to the full project lifecycle, including component selection, system design, and quote or proposal support.
• Experience creating control panel layouts and panel designs using 3D CAD software. SolidWorks Electrical experience is preferred.
• Experience supporting purchase orders, project documentation, and manufacturing/build activities.
• Ability to provide technical support to panel builders, electricians, and manufacturing teams during system assembly.
