You'll lead day-to-day team operations while maintaining strong billable utilization, collaborating with customers, project managers, and engineering teams to deliver detailed electrical documentation—from power distribution diagrams and panel layouts to control schematics and P&IDs—that is accurate, manufacturable, and code-compliant from concept through commissioning.What You Get To DoTeam Leadership & ManagementLead and manage the electrical design team, including workload allocation and resource optimizationDrive talent management: performance evaluations, mentoring, recruiting, hiring, and onboardingFoster a collaborative, accountable, growth-oriented cultureProvide technical guidance and conduct design reviewsTechnical & Design LeadershipDesign electrical and instrumentation systems using AutoCAD Electrical (P&IDs, one-lines, panel layouts, loop drawings, schematics)Perform short circuit and voltage drop calculations; determine conduit, conductor, and wire sizingApply intrinsically safe design practices for hazardous environmentsEnsure compliance with NEC, UL508A, NEMA, ISA, and IEC standardsProject Execution & SupportCollaborate with customers and project teams to define requirements and meet timelines/budgetsDevelop BOMs, manage procurement, and uphold quality standardsChampion AutoCAD Electrical best practices, templates, and librariesSupport field installation, commissioning, and troubleshootingCross-Functional CollaborationAlign design work with business objectivesLead continuous improvement and standardization initiativesWhat You Bring To The TeamAAS or BS in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)7-10+ years in electrical/instrumentation design for industrial process controlExpert in AutoCAD Electrical 2023+Proficient in electrical calculations (short circuit, voltage drop, sizing)Knowledge of NEC, UL508A, NEMA, ISA, IEC, and hazardous area design (Class I Div 1/2)Experience in chemical, glass, food, pharmaceutical, or similar process industriesExcellent communication and proven ability to deliver quality designs on time and budgetThe base salary range for this position is $100,000 – $125,000 per year. This range represents the Company's good faith estimate of the base compensation for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to proven experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for annual incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives, subject to Company plans.
