Electrical Design Engineer

Our client, Electrical Engineering and Manufacturing Industry is seeking a Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. As a Electrical Design Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting electrical project documentation and design integrity. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong collaboration skills, and a proactive mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:  Electrical Design Engineer

Location:  Madison, Wisconsin

Pay Range:  $90,000 - $130,000 + 5% Bonus

**4 days onsite/1 day remote**
**Open to paying relocation**
**Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder**

What's the Job?

• Ensure the accuracy, quality, and intent of electrical project documentation through detailed schematic and print reviews.
• Lead the completion of electrical drawing packages, ensuring compliance with NEC standards and internal electrical standards.
• Support production by responding to design-related questions and resolving issues during build and test phases.
• Collaborate with external engineering leads during technical handoffs, clarifying scope and development requirements.
• Assist with the assessment and selection of long-lead materials and major electrical equipment to support project schedules.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical build, systems, manufacturing support, or field-based electrical work.
• Solid knowledge of electrical theory with the ability to interpret detailed schematics and prints.
• Experience with electrical bills of materials (EBOMs) and applying NEC requirements.
• Proficiency with tools such as Bluebeam, ERP systems like Epicor, and Microsoft Office Suite.
