Electrical Design Engineer

Overview

Remote | Contract | Tank Battery Build Project. We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Design Engineer to support a remote tank battery build project for one of our EPC clients. This is a design-only role requiring self-sufficient professionals who can deliver high-quality instrumentation drawings and documentation with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain 3D instrumentation models
• Produce detailed 2D drawings, including:
  • Junction box (JB) wiring and termination diagrams
  • Instrument location and layout drawings
  • Cable schedules and termination lists
• Review existing P&IDs and verify instrument connections against JB drawings
• Prepare and update termination schedules for both field and control room installations
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams to ensure accuracy and consistency across drawing packages

Qualifications

• Proven instrumentation and electrical design experience within oil & gas, tank battery, or similar industrial projects
• Strong ability to produce junction box drawings, terminations, and loop diagrams to a high standard
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D design, software license provided but laptop/computer needed
• Ability to work independently and manage deliverables remotely
• Must be based in the US
