Electrical Engineer – Power Systems - Oxford Solutions is working with a heavy industrial client seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in power systems design and industrial electrical engineering projects. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a hybrid work schedule and the chance to lead projects while supporting and mentoring a small engineering team.The ideal candidate will have experience designing and supporting low and medium voltage power systems within industrial environments and possess strong technical knowledge related to electrical infrastructure, instrumentation, and controls.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and support electrical systems for heavy industrial facilitiesPerform field investigations, site assessments, and technical evaluationsDevelop low and medium voltage power distribution system designsSupport instrumentation and controls design activitiesUtilize power system analysis software such as ETAP and/or SKMEnsure designs comply with NEC, IEEE, and applicable industry standardsPrepare engineering calculations, technical documentation, and project deliverablesCollaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and field personnelProvide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and designersAssist with project coordination and management activitiesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited programProfessional Engineer (PE) license required5-8 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, including internships or co-op experienceStrong understanding of electrical power systems and industrial electrical designExperience working in heavy industrial or manufacturing environmentsKnowledge of NEC and IEEE standardsProficiency with electrical design and calculation softwareExperience with ETAP, SKM, or similar power system analysis toolsStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
