nIn the role of Electrical EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you to:
nPerform assignments, exercising judgment in evaluation, selection, and modification of electrical engineering techniques and procedures
nWork directly with owners to develop recommendations
nReview electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
nWrite/edit electrical specifications, select equipment, and electrical devices
nConduct analyses to develop electrical design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications.
nPerform routine electrical engineering assignments, with instructions from the Project Engineer or Project Manager regarding the expected results.
nWork on projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
nWork on small projects, or assist more senior engineers on larger projects
nWork with assistance from Project Engineers, other Electrical EITs, or Technicians as needed to develop the project electrical design and project documents

nPerform other duties as needed
nTake on contract administration responsibilities requiring field inspections and conflict resolution
nMake decisions on significant design and engineering features as needed
nFunction as a Project Manager on small and mid-size projects as needed, but project management is not the principal focus of the position
nSupervise the work of Electrical CAD Technicians and coordinate the design of assigned projects with the architectural staff and other engineering disciplines as needed
nPerform other duties as needed
nPreferred Qualifications
nEngineer in Training (EIT) certificate or the ability to obtain one. Candidates hired without their EIT license will be titled "Electrical Coordinator" and will be expected to get their EIT for career progression.
nPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
nAt least 4 years of experience designing electrical lighting, power, and systems for building projects.
nExperience using SKM, AGI, and Easy Power preferred.
nRequired Qualifications
nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
nDesire to pursue growth opportunities and obtain registration
nStrong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power
