nThe Electrical Controls Engineer role supports existing equipment; diagnose, repair or prevent improperly operating systems and equipment to make it perform the tasks it was designed to do efficiently.
nDuties and Responsibilities
nDiagnose electrical issues with crushing and screening equipment via technical helpdesk or field support
nProvide aftermarket, customer, and dealer controls support, upgrades, etc. for all MP Products
nAssisting in research and development of new products
nProvide manufacturing support
nFollow proper Engineering procedures for ECOs, ECRs, etc.
nEnsure schematics are updated to accurately reflect machine design
nAssist in training of MP Personnel
nWork with subcontractors and power companies during stationary and mobile systems installation
nWork with outside vendors to develop controls systems and component settings
nAssist in the management of all in house electronics/panel builds.
nEnsures all personnel follow safety protocol, use of PPE, and reporting of unsafe conditions.
nTravel both domestic and abroad to perform on site diagnostics and service.
nPerforms other related duties as assigned.
nBasic Requirements
nMinimum of Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
n1 - 3 years of Electrical Design
n1 - 3 years' experience with PLC programming(Allen Bradley preferred)
nStrong verbal and written communication skills
nStrong interpersonal and customer service skills
nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail
nExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
nPreferred Requirements
nBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or a licensed electrician
nKnowledge of industrial controls systems
nFamiliarity with NEC, NFPA 79 and CE requirements
nKnowledge of Auto Cad and Visio (Auto Cad Electrical preferred)
nExperience with remote radio controls
nSome knowledge of hydraulic systems
nExcellent written and spoken English, other languages are a plus
nAbility to interact successfully in different cultures
nStrong collaboration and decision-making skills
nLanguage
nExcellent written and spoken English
nTravel
nAbility to travel, both domestic and abroad and possess valid passport.
nMust be willing and able to travel (approximately 40%)
