Electrical/Controls Engineering Team Member

Our client located near downtown Waukesha, WI is adding a key member to the Electrical/Controls Engineering Team and all skill levels are encouraged to apply but Senior level is preferred. The successful candidate will enjoy a variety of duties, a fast pace and challenges of working for an industry leader of custom designed and built OEM automation systems.

Responsibilities (But are Not Limited To):

  • Design of custom control systems including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
  • Develop and design software programs, primarily PLC ladder, and HMI applications
  • Ensure safe and efficient processes in accordance with customer specifications
  • Start up and debug equipment on clients production floor and at customers site
  • Develop user manuals and technical documentation
  • Provide remote technical support and on-site service for customers
  • Consistently meet project deadlines and quality expectations
  • Be dependable, highly attentive to details and able to work well both as part of a team and independently

Experience Required:

  • Ideally a minimum of five plus (5+) years of experience in designing, programming, integrating, and documenting industrial control systems
  • Electrical Control System Design
  • Safety Equipment & Circuits
  • AutoCAD Electrical
  • Experience programming in Ladder Logic
  • HMI Programming & Integration
  • Variable Frequency Drive Integration
  • Electric Servo Motors and Drives
  • Allen Bradley PLC's and HMI's
  • Robotics
  • Pneumatic System Design
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Experience Desired:

  • Other Manufacturers of PLC's (Omron, Mitsubishi, Siemens …).
  • Industrial Vision Systems
  • National Instruments LabVIEW
  • PC's For Data Acquisition, Machine Control, and Operator Interfaces.
  • Technical Writing for machine and system documentation.
  • Hydraulic Systems Design.
  • Visual Basic Dot Net & Visual Basic for Applications.
  • Other PC & PLC programming languages a plus.
  • Education: Electrical Engineering Degree preferred.
