If you want to join a team whose mission is to elevate the automation industry, we want to hear from you!The RoleThe Electrical Assembly Lead oversees a team of technicians to ensure high-quality electrical assembly, wiring, and testing of custom industrial automation and robotic systems.

This role blends hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, driving productivity, maintaining ISO standards, and supporting continuous skill development within the electrical team. The Lead also collaborates closely with project teams to meet deadlines, uphold safety standards, and deliver reliable equipment performance. This position reports to the Operations Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesOrganize resources to meet project deadlines, budgets and production requirements.Ensure and deliver high levels of productivity and efficiency from the electrical team and support Managers, Project Engineers and Designers in the realization of their goals.Be an example of fair, assertive and effective leadership and protect and support the Company's reputation in public with customers, suppliers and other interested parties.Support and develop the technical skills of the Electrical Team, including apprentices.Work as part of a project team with specific duties of electrical assembly and de-bugging on special purpose industrial automation and robotic assembly systems.Assemble, wire and test control panels and machine wiring to detailed electrical schematic diagrams.Provide preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance support for all equipment and on site.Ensure team has the appropriate tools and equipment to carry out their duties.Ensure procedures and working practices to ISO9001:2015 are adhered to and suggest where improvements can be made.Promote and ensure good housekeeping practices in and around the facility and maintain a safe working environment.Qualifications and ExperienceEssentialCompletion of Apprenticeship in a related field and 5+ years' experience as an Electrical Technician/ Electrical Assembly in Manufacturing or other relevant industryHighly skilled in assembly, wiring and testing control panels.Ability to work to technical drawings and parts lists and familiarity with PLCsSupervisory or mentorship experienceClear communication skills for update of project tasksEffective interpersonal relationship skills to create a positive and productive team-oriented environment with all departmentsA proactive and flexible approach to work and be comfortable with a dynamic environment with constantly changing prioritiesBasic machine tool operation knowledgeReliable transportation and an ability/willingness to travel; although this position is focused on local clients and minimal travel is required, you should have the ability to travel within US and InternationalKnowledge of Life science industry standards, UL, CE and specific customer requirementsDesirableIdeally a background in industrial automationPhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk and hear.Occasionally lifts or move up to 25 pounds.Perks of Being Part of the TeamHere at CONVERGIX, we offer a generous compensation and benefits package including:Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plans401K, including company matchCompany-paid life insurance with optional supplemental coverage for you and your spouse/childrenCompany-paid short and long-term disabilityEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid-time off and company-paid holidaysProfit SharingWhat does CONVERGIX value?Integrity - Respect, Transparency, CommitmentExcellence - Continuous Improvement, Innovation, Collaboration, CommunicationPassion - Momentum, Sense of Urgency, Growth, Success, VelocityWe thank all candidates for their interest, however only those considered for an interview will be contacted.CONVERGIX Automation Solutions has an accommodation program in place that provides reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities.
