This role adheres to established procedures and work instructions to ensure assemblies satisfy quality, safety, and engineering specifications. The Electrical Assembler/Wirer contributes to production objectives while maintaining nVent values and safety standards.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssemble electrical and electromechanical systems, frameworks, and enclosures employed in switchgear manufacturingPerform point-to-point wiring between components following wiring prints, schematic diagrams, specification sheets, and Bills of Material (BOM)Measure, cut, route, label, and terminate wire to specified lengths and standardsInstall and connect electrical components such as terminal blocks, breakers, relays, control devices, and bus componentsReview and interpret work orders, wiring diagrams, and schematics to identify materials and assembly instructionsAdjust, repair, or replace electrical components to resolve defects and ensure conformance to specificationsIdentify, mark, and tag parts and assemblies for tracking, quality, and inventory purposesPrepare finished products for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and minor touch-up workAssist with loading or movement of completed assemblies when requiredMaintain tools, equipment, and workstations in accurate working conditionPerform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentFollow all safety policies and procedures, attend safety meetings, and accurately use required personal protective equipment (PPE)Support continuous improvement efforts and maintain quality and efficiency expectationsQualificationsAcademic Background and Professional ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience, requiredPrior experience in electrical assembly, wiring, or manufacturing preferred but not requiredComparable mix of education and experience may be taken into accountKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExperience using hand tools such as screwdrivers, crimpers, wire cutters, and tape measuresAbility to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions is preferredGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for working with small parts and wiringAbility to follow detailed procedures with a high level of accuracy and attention to detailBasic problem-solving skills and willingness to learnProficiency ExpectationsCompletes assigned tasks on time and meets efficiency expectationsFollows established safety, quality, and manufacturing proceduresMaintains regular and reliable attendanceDemonstrates teamwork, accountability, and a positive attitudeCommunicates effectively with supervisors and team membersPhysical and Work Environment RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasksAbility to lift, push, or pull materials in accordance with job requirementsWork is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, electrical equipment, and moving machineryPosition classified as Medium Work, requiring exertion within defined weight limitsnVent ValuesAt nVent, we succeed by living our values every day.
