Electrical Assembling Technician
The Electrical Assembling Technician will perform repair work for JAE's and/or 3rd party's directional module package and/or similar products for the oil & gas industries for the Houston Repair Center (JAE Houston, LLC).
- Visual inspection of units returned for repair
- The repair work will consist of:
- Removing RTV without extra damage of chassis, wire harness, components, and other parts
- Removing the damaged parts and replacing them with new parts in correct position and proper alignment
- Soldering with HMP and PB86 solder
- Inspection of work performed as part of own repair and of other technicians
- Placing adhesive or RTV on the repair units
- Data entry of defect information, repair work
- Visual outgoing inspection of repaired units

Core competencies:
- General computer skills for data entry using Microsoft applications
- Soldering experience: Skillful high temperature soldering experience in electrical assembly, wire stripping, tinning with HMP and PB86 fluxed wire solder.
- Problem-solving abilities: Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
- Attention to detail: Ability to perform precise work and maintain high standards of quality in repair tasks.
Qualification requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Prior IPC certification preferred)
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience for HMP and or PB86 soldering, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
Skills: Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Business travel: This position requires no traveling.
Physical demand: This position requires lifting up to 20 pounds frequently.
