12V Electrician (Low Voltage Electrical Assembler)$22-$24 | First Shift: M-T: 5:00am-3:30pmJob DescriptionThe 12V Electrician routes and installs low-voltage wiring for fire apparatus equipment by interpreting and following wire diagrams, blueprints, and other technical drawings. This role connects lights, hose reels, and additional accessories to electrical boxes, fabricates boxes and mounts, and builds wire harnesses as needed. The position requires close collaboration with fabricators, engineers, and other assemblers to complete high-quality installations that meet production goals and company standards.ResponsibilitiesRoute low-voltage wiring for fire apparatus equipment by following wire diagrams, blueprints, and other technical drawings.Connect lights, hose reels, and other accessories to electrical boxes in accordance with specifications and safety standards.Fabricate electrical boxes, mounts, brackets, and other necessary equipment based on blueprints and engineering requirements.Assemble and fabricate wire harnesses as needed to support electrical installations and system integration.Collaborate closely with fabricators, engineers, and other assemblers to ensure complete and accurate installation of all components.Use basic hand tools and assembly tools to perform electrical and mechanical assembly tasks safely and efficiently.Verify proper routing, labeling, and securing of wiring to ensure reliability, serviceability, and compliance with quality standards.Assist in troubleshooting and resolving basic electrical assembly issues during production and installation.Follow production schedules and contribute to meeting weekly truck build and delivery goals.Communicate clearly with team leads and coworkers regarding progress, issues, and any potential delays in completing assigned work.Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies, including proper use of PPE and tools provided.Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support overall production and company needs.Essential SkillsAt least 1+ years of low-voltage electrical experience and knowledge.At least 1+ years of electrical assembly experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.Hands-on experience with low-voltage wiring and electrical assembly in a production or assembly setting.Strong communication skills to work effectively with fabricators, engineers, and other assemblers.Ability to use basic hand tools and assembly tools safely and effectively.Capability to perform mechanical assembly tasks related to electrical installations.Ability to work in a production environment and meet defined output and quality targets.Reliability and flexibility to support mandatory overtime when required.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in a manufacturing or production environment working on vehicles, equipment, or complex assemblies.Experience with mechanical assembly in addition to electrical assembly.Familiarity with routing and securing wiring in automotive, truck, or equipment applications.Ability to collaborate in a team environment with multiple team members working on the same unit.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, safe electrical installations.Why Work Here?You will join a supportive environment where the company invests in your success by providing all tools and personal protective equipment needed to perform your work safely and effectively. Overtime needs are typically communicated by midweek based on production goals and truck build progress. Team members generally work 45–50 hours per week. The work takes place in a controlled indoor environment within a designated building, where you will work in a team setting alongside multiple colleagues on the same truck or unit. The company provides all necessary tools and personal protective equipment, supporting safe and efficient work. Clear communication with leads about planned events or vacations is expected, and occasional exceptions to overtime may be accommodated when communicated in advance, while consistent weekend unavailability may not align with role requirements.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wyoming, MN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
