Electrical Assembler

Electrical AssemblerThis role focuses on electrical and electro-mechanical assembly of skid units in a busy manufacturing environment. You will cut and bend rigid conduit, pull and route wiring, install cable trays and busbar ducts, and assemble and wire panels, switches, and detection devices. The position requires strong hands-on electrical assembly experience, attention to detail, and a willingness to support other departments as needed.ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical and electro-mechanical assembly on skid units according to specifications and safety standards.Cut, bend, and install rigid conduit accurately and efficiently.Pull, route, and organize wire for various assemblies and systems.Install cable trays and busbar ducts to support and protect electrical wiring.Assemble and wire panels, including switches, smoke detectors, and heat detectors.Ensure all terminations and connections are completed correctly and securely.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse floor and work area.Collaborate with and assist other departments when needed to support production demands.Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and tools, while working around overhead cranes, forklifts, and welding operations.Work flexible hours on day or night shifts, including overtime, to meet project and production schedules.Essential Skills3–5 years of experience in electrical or electro-mechanical assembly.Proven experience installing cable trays in a manufacturing or industrial setting.Hands-on experience cutting, bending, and installing rigid conduit.Strong wiring skills, including pulling, routing, and organizing electrical wire.Ability to assemble and wire electrical panels and related components.Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with active overhead cranes, forklifts, and welders nearby.Ability to follow technical instructions and safety guidelines consistently.Willingness to work day or night shifts and extended hours as required.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working with control panels is strongly preferred.Shop-based assembly experience is preferred over purely industrial or commercial field experience.Experience with electrical terminations and panel wiring is a strong plus.Experience as an electrical technician, wire puller, or similar electro-mechanical role is beneficial.Familiarity with using power tools and PPE in a manufacturing or assembly environment.Why Work Here?This opportunity offers consistent, high-hour work weeks, with many employees regularly working between 50 and 65 hours to maximize earnings. The role involves using provided PPE and power tools, and you should expect both day shifts (typically 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., sometimes later) and night shifts (starting around 4:30 p.m. and lasting approximately 10 hours), with regular opportunities for overtime.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
