Your role will be:Products may include but are not limited to small products, light subassemblies, and/or complete units of a smaller size.Loads and unloads previously setup machines, such as arbor presses, drill presses, taps, spot-welding machines, riveting machines, milling machines, or broaches, to perform fastening, force fitting, or light metal-cutting operation on assembly line.May be assigned to different workstations as production needs require or shift from one station to another to reduce fatigue factor.May work at bench as member of assembly group that processes or assembles one or two specific parts and passes unit to another worker.May repair units that fail to meet specifications.Operates production line equipment of a level of complexity requiring the specified training or assembling products, units, machines, equipment, and/or sub-assemblies that are larger, heavier, and/or more complex than those assembled by Product Assembler (Bench).Mounts and connects auxiliary, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic or hydraulic equipment; cuts and fits pipe and tubing.Removes small quantities of metal, using hand files or portable grinders, to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts.Drills, taps, or reams holes, using drill press or portable drill.Aligns components, and bolts, screws, or rivets them together, using hand tools or portable powered tools.Installs moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement.May bend and install pipe for hydraulic systems.May align and mesh gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears.May operate drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation.May test or assist in testing operation of completed product.Assemble, test & maintain documents of products based on requirementsOperate machinery such as drill presses and balancing machinesUse basic hand, electric and pneumatic toolsSafely operate a tow motor and other electric vehiclesUse overhead cranes to lift, move, and manipulate larger partsIf this is you, come join us!Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly environmentAbility to read and understand drawings and assembly instructionsExperience using basic hand tools and small machineryExperience using overhead cranes and hoists preferredMechanical aptitude required to diagnose and solve problems that arise during manufacturing processesExperience using a tow motor is preferredHigh School Diploma or GEDOne-year certificate from college or technical school preferredBenefitsComprehensive benefits package featuring coverage for the majority of health insurance premiums, along with company-paid life insurance, short-term disability (STD), and long-term disability (LTD)401(k): 6% match and immediate vestingPaid vacation, sick and volunteer time12 paid holidaysParental leaveTuition reimbursementTraining and developmentCompany social events… and more!Why come to Fives North American Combustion?We are visionaries, challengers, collaborators and relationship-builders.
