Aerotek Is Hiring For Electrical HelpersThe Electrical Apprentice assists electricians and fabrication shop personnel in the assembly, wiring, modification, and preparation of electrical equipment and systems. This role is responsible for learning electrical installation practices, reading blueprints, assembling electrical components, and supporting the production of prefabricated electrical systems used in commercial and industrial construction projects. Apprentices work under the direct supervision of experienced electricians while developing trade skills and gaining hands-on experience.Essential ResponsibilitiesAssist with the assembly and fabrication of electrical components, conduit racks, and prefabricated electrical systems.Cut, bend, and assemble EMT, RMC, PVC, and other conduit systems.Install wiring, connectors, fittings, boxes, supports, and electrical devices according to drawings and specifications.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, shop drawings, and material lists.Measure, layout, and prepare materials for fabrication and installation.Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely.Label, organize, and package completed assemblies for shipment to job sites.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and electrical codes.Assist with inventory management, material handling, and quality control inspections.Work closely with journeyman electricians, supervisors, and fabrication shop personnel to meet production goals.QualificationsEnrollment in or desire to enter an electrical apprenticeship program.Basic understanding of hand and power tools.Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet throughout the shift.Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required.SkillsConduit fabrication and assemblyBlueprint readingHand and power tool proficiencyAttention to detailTeamwork and communicationSafety awarenessTime managementWork EnvironmentIndoor fabrication shop environment.Standing, walking, lifting, bending, and repetitive use of hand tools.Exposure to construction materials, electrical equipment, and shop machinery.Required use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, hard hat, and steel-toe boots.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mooresville, NC.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
