Electric Motor Winder Technician - 2nd Shift

L&S is looking for an experienced Electric Motor Winder for 2nd shift. We are seeking a self-motivated team member that has strong verbal and written communication skill, excellent organization skills, likes to work with their hands, with the ability to work independently and multitask.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect equipment and parts for damage, diagnose possible reason(s) for issues.
- Wind, assemble, and install various types of coils in AC/DC rotating machines using industry best practices.
- Operate specialized repair and testing equipment used in electrical rotating apparatus repair industry.
- Braze using oxy-acetylene, induction, and/or resistance welding techniques.
- Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective equipment.
- Able to perform all essential functions of the job.
- Complete required job documentation.
- Provide feedback to assist in accurate costing and work scope development for rewind projects.
- Utilize manufacturer's recommendations and industry best.
- Conduct preventative maintenance as required on equipment in you work area.
- Clean and organize shop, as required to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Perform other skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good hand/eye coordination.
- Understanding of electrical theory and strong mechanical aptitude/skills.
- Able to wear necessary protective equipment.
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- Authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
- Valid driver's license.
- Previous motor winding experience.
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekdays, and weekends to meet customer service requirements.
- Experience with rigging and lifting heavy loads, and operating overhead cranes.
- Forklift experience.
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring devices, such as micrometers and calipers, etc.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Daily use of PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toed safety shoes.
