We are seeking an Electric Distribution Operator I to support electric service restoration, distribution switching, outage response, and grid operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate service restoration and distribution switching activities.
- Monitor circuit outages, customer interruptions, system conditions, and emergency events.
- Analyze information from multiple sources and develop appropriate action plans.
- Maintain accurate reports and documentation.
- Prioritize changing situations while supporting grid reliability and personnel safety.
- Complete training to become ROC switching certified within approximately 12–16 months.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience in utility operations, dispatching, emergency services, customer service, or complex database environments.
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems is preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, multitasking, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team environment.
- Strong computer skills; GIS experience is a plus. xhqgsiq
- Must be available for rotating 24/7 shifts, overtime, and storm-related callouts.
