Onsite Full Time Architecture and Engineering Occupations
MAU is hiring an Environmental Health & Safety Manager for our client in Conway, SC . As an EHS Manager , you will lead environmental, health, and safety programs across manufacturing operations by ensuring regulatory compliance, driving a strong safety culture, supporting continuous improvement, and providing technical leadership for multiple facilities. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Required Education and Experience
  • Recent experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in Health, Safety, and/or Environmental functions within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of managing and resolving workers' compensation cases
  • Proven ability to drive a safety culture and deploy behavioral safety programs
  • Must be clean shaven (trimmed goatee or mustache permitted) as required for Emergency Response Team (ERT) participation
  • Must live or be willing to relocate within 30 minutes of the plant to provide on-call emergency support
  • Must meet ITAR and/or EAR requirements by qualifying as a U.S. Person as defined under applicable federal regulations and provide proof of eligibility upon hire
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related science field
  • Stormwater testing, tracking, reporting, and handling experience
  • Demonstrated decision-making experience in a Total Quality environment using Six Sigma tools

  • Experience with environmental compliance, including RCRA, Form R reporting, DOT Hazmat, Tier II reporting, and Title V air permitting
  • Experience with OSHA compliance programs, including HAZWOPER, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, respiratory protection, and fit testing
  • Knowledge of industrial hygiene monitoring and air sampling
  • Knowledge of chemical and product compliance standards, including REACH and RoHS
  • Willingness to complete required training
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds independently
  • Positive attitude with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration
  • On-call availability during nights, weekends, holidays, and other off-hours, with the ability to report onsite or to a hospital when required
Essential Functions
  • Provide overall management and technical leadership for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) programs at the Conway, SC facility.
  • Oversee EH&S support for the Massachusetts facility and provide technical assistance to overseas manufacturing locations.
  • Operate independently while receiving administrative and fiscal direction from executive leadership.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement practical EH&S solutions that support business strategies, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and company policies.
  • Integrate EH&S requirements with the organization's vision and values.
  • Support company growth through environmental permitting processes.
  • Partner with functional leaders to integrate EH&S initiatives across the organization.
  • Lead employee teams focused on continuous improvement of EH&S performance.
  • Conduct accident, incident, and injury investigations.
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations and deliver EH&S training for employees, managers, corporate leadership, and overseas teams.
  • Conduct monthly safety meetings for approximately 200 employees.
  • Lead the Safety Committee and facilitate monthly Safety Committee meetings.
  • Support stormwater testing, tracking, reporting, and compliance activities.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Department on vendor management related to PPE, security cameras, gates, and parking lot regulations.
  • Participate in evening meetings with corporate and overseas teams as required.
  • Travel to the Massachusetts facility several times per year as needed.
  • Develop and administer the site's Hearing Conservation Program, including noise monitoring, employee training, and audiometric testing compliance.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental regulations, including RCRA, Form R, DOT Hazmat, Tier II, and Title V permitting requirements.
  • Administer OSHA compliance programs, including HAZWOPER, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, respiratory protection, and fit testing.
  • Support industrial hygiene monitoring and air sampling activities.
  • Ensure compliance with chemical and product regulations, including REACH and RoHS.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
