We're looking for an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead safety, environmental, and compliance efforts at our Ramsey manufacturing facility and help shape a culture where everyone goes home safe, every shift. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role is both strategic and hands-on. You'll partner with leaders and frontline employees to proactively identify risks, strengthen programs, and drive continuous improvement across safety, environmental compliance, and workplace well-being.
nWhat You'll Do
nLead Safety & Environmental Excellence
nProactively inspect the facility to identify, assess, and resolve safety, health, and environmental risks.
nServe as the site subject-matter expert on EHS regulations, compliance requirements, and related insurance standards.
nEnsure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, while aligning with corporate EHS guidelines.
nBuild a Strong Safety Culture
nDesign and lead safety initiatives, programs, and communications that drive engagement, awareness, and injury reduction.
nPartner with leaders and employees to embed safety into daily operations and decision-making.
nLead or actively participate in key programs including the Safety Committee, Ergonomics Committee, Emergency Response Team (ERT), General Workplace Inspections (GWI), and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
nDrive Data-Informed Improvement
nManage the Incident Investigation Report (IIR) process, including near misses, and lead root cause analysis with department leaders.
nDevelop and track EHS metrics to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
nAudit and maintain the Safety Management System in alignment with corporate standards.
nEnvironmental & Site Oversight
nOversee environmental programs in partnership with consultants, auditors, and facilities teams-while driving sustainability improvements.
nEnsure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are current, accurate, and readily accessible.
nManage site security systems and related practices.
nWhat You Bring
nRequired
nBachelor's degree in industrial safety or a related field (or equivalent experience).
nMinimum of 3 years of EHS leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
nStrong working knowledge of OSHA and other federal, state, and local safety regulations.
nProven ability to communicate and train across diverse employee groups.
nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
nProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
nPreferred
nExperience with ergonomic programs and ergonomic analysis tools.
nWorking Environment
nCombination of office and shop-floor environment.
nOccasional lifting up to 35 lbs.
nSafety shoes, glasses and hearing protection required in designated production areas.

nAt Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, we believe in taking care of our team with a comprehensive total rewards package that includes competitive pay and a range of valuable benefits. The salary range for this position, intended for U.S. applicants, is $93,000 - $135,900 annually.The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Ramsey, MN and the actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.This position is eligible to participate in Life Fitness / Hammer Strength's annual Manager Incentive Plan to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of bonus varies based on company and individual performance goals and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
