Safety Program Implementation SpecialistThis position will be responsible for the implementation of Armor Metal's Safety Program.
Responsibilities include:Implementing new safety procedures and policiesCollecting, updating and preparation of safety data (i.e. OSHA 300 Log, MDSD library, etc)Developing charts/graphs on safety metrics from collected dataMaintaining safety regulatory registrations, certifications, listings and related correspondenceDeveloping and maintaining training matrices for safety related trainingDeveloping and publishing safety training modules, classes, and coordinating outside safety trainingDirecting the activities of the Safety CommitteeInvestigating and tracking of accidents and near missesCoordinating the company's DOT programOrganize and distribute plant-wide safety communicationsParticipate in machinery and plant hazard assessmentManage the company's PPE and First Aid suppliesPerforming weekly safety and bi-weekly 6S inspectionsDriving continuous improvement of the company's safety programAdditional items as assigned by managerPrincipal Contacts Inside/Outside The Company: This position interacts with all company employees.Competency Or Position Requirements:Communication skillsTime management skillsAbility to motivate employees to be safe on the jobAll Armor employees are also expected to demonstrate Armor's core values of being:Customer FocusedPassionate about WorkSolution OrientedDriven by IntegrityEducation And/Or Experience:High school diploma or GED requiredPrior experience in safety field is preferredBachelor's degree is preferredCertifications in OSHA's 30 hr safety course and CPR are preferredEquipment Used: This position uses a personal computer, copier/fax machine and telephone.Working And Physical Conditions: This position works from an office area but significant amounts of time will be on the shop floor.The Armor Group, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action employer.
