Job Description
nA company in the Norcross area is looking for an EHS Advisor to join their team. The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor is responsible for supporting the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the organization's environmental, health, and safety programs. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, promotes a proactive safety culture, and helps reduce workplace risks through training, audits, environmental stewardship, and incident prevention initiatives. The EHS Advisor works closely with the EHS Manager and site leadership to ensure safe and environmentally responsible operations.
nKey Responsibilities:
nConduct safety audits, inspections, hazard assessments, and compliance reviews.
nSupport OSHA, EPA, RCRA, and environmental compliance programs.
nInvestigate incidents, injuries, and near misses; perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
nManage hazardous waste, chemical inventories, SDS programs, Tier II reporting, environmental permits, and regulatory documentation.
nAssist with EPA reporting, environmental audits, spill prevention, and hazardous material handling programs.
nDeliver safety training, new hire orientation, PPE training, and recurring employee safety programs.
nMaintain EHS documentation, training records, permits, and compliance reports.
nSupport emergency preparedness initiatives, safety committees, and continuous improvement efforts.
nPartner with leadership to implement EHS best practices and foster a proactive safety culture.

nSkills and Requirements
nBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred.
n3-7 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial, chemical, wastewater, or similar environments.
nExperience with OSHA compliance, environmental regulations, safety audits, incident investigations, and employee safety training.
nKnowledge of hazardous waste management, RCRA, EPA reporting, chemical inventory management, and Tier II reporting.
nExperience with chemical processing, hazmat programs, wastewater treatment, or environmental compliance is highly preferred.
