Per Diem Standard, Day Shift, Variable, Open Monday–Friday 7am–7pm.
Provide high quality strength, conditioning and sports‑specific training for individuals, small groups, and teams. Programs are designed for athletes and community members of all ages and skill levels (including collegiate, semi‑professional, and professional athletes). Provide comprehensive assessments, screenings, exercise prescription, injury prevention, and education within an elite athletic performance training center.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 3 years of experience
- CPR certified within 90 days of hire
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist within 6 months of hire
- Personal Trainer certified within 6 months of hire
Major Responsibilities
- Provide strength and conditioning and sport‑specific training to teams, small groups, individuals, and community groups as outlined in programs.
- Understand pre‑season, in‑season, and post‑season strength and conditioning programs and sport‑specific criteria to maintain maximum physical conditioning for all age levels.
- Provide a comprehensive assessment and evaluation to identify overall strength, movement, and screen for dysfunction, and provide education in injury prevention.
- Assist in the clinic as a rehab support staff member under the direction of a therapist and render first aid when appropriate.
- Make appropriate referrals to hospital, physician, or other healthcare personnel.
- Participate in lectures, conferences, and community events as needed.
- Collaborate with other personnel and work under the supervision of the Sports Performance Coordinator; follow program guidelines and expectations.
- Maintain proper certifications and competencies; attend departmental meetings and training seminars.
- Promote and design programs and services and generate leads to promote facility services and programs through marketing efforts.
- Assist with record keeping and data entry.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or requested.
