School Educational Technician III
Job Purpose: To assist teaching staff in the delivery of appropriate instruction and services to support the educational development of students.
Essential Functions:
- Works with individuals or small groups of students to provide instructional and assessment support with and without direct teacher supervision.
- May develop specific instructional plans within the framework of a teacher defined sequence of instruction.
- May introduce new learning preplanned in collaboration with the classroom teacher and/or academic support team.
- Applies classroom rules and expectations consistently.
- Assists in the supervision of students during classroom activities, emergency/fire drills, assemblies, and field trips.
- Collaborates and communicates effectively with classroom teacher(s)
- Participates in professional development and workshops.
- Performs lunch, recess, and/or arrival and dismissal duties.
- Performs such other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned by the building principal.
