Paraprofessional Position
Assignment: 6 hours per day, 182 days per year Minimum hourly rate: $22.61 (new rate for ) Benefit eligible position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides classroom and teacher support by working with small groups and individual students under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
- Supervise students in the classroom, lunchroom, and recess setting during the classroom teacher's lunch break and prep period.
Job Qualifications:
- Experience in working with elementary age children, preferably in a classroom setting.
- Proven positive human relations skills with adults and students.
- Demonstrated evidence of ability to take direction.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative.
- Clear communication in speaking and writing.
- Evidence of friendly, out-going personality.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Evidence of willingness to participate in staff development.
- Demonstrated ability to follow through on a project.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, punctuality, and efficiency.
