Description:
• Design and develop routing and layouts for automotive electrical distribution systems, including wire harnesses, busbars, cables, and related components
• Develop and modify electrical system designs based on customer specifications, vehicle requirements, and engineering changes
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and related engineering data using ERP production management systems
• Utilize CAD software to prepare detailed wire and cable routing designs and support electrical component integration
• Design and evaluate clips, brackets, and other fixtures to ensure secure and reliable wire routing under vehicle operating conditions
• Support testing and validation activities, analyze results, and recommend design or material improvements for product reliability and quality
• Investigate and resolve engineering issues involving wire harnesses, cables, connectors, busbars, and related electrical components
• Collaborate with customers and internal production and quality teams to address technical requirements, engineering changes, manufacturability, and quality standards
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of engineering experience in automotive electrical systems, wire harnesses, automotive wiring, or related components preferred
• Knowledge of BOMs and ERP or production management systems
• Automotive parts or electric vehicle industry experience preferred
