This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating wire EDM machines to produce precision tooling and components that meet tight tolerances and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, program, and operate wire EDM machines to manufacture tooling, dies, and precision componentsInterpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate machiningPerform edits and adjustments to programs as needed to optimize performance and qualityInspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specificationsTroubleshoot machine or process issues and make necessary correctionsMaintain proper documentation of work performed, including program revisions and inspection resultsWork closely with engineering and toolroom teams on new tooling and process improvementsPerform routine maintenance and keep machines and work area clean and organizedFollow all safety procedures and company policiesQualificationsEDM certification or 3–5 years of hands-on wire EDM experience requiredExperience with Charmilles wire EDM machines preferredProficient in CAM programming (Espirit preferred)Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsProficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators, etc.)Strong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities.heyco is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
