The ideal candidate will have experience working with sinker EDM machines, which will create complex molds, die sets, and other parts.RESPONSIBILITIES:Create conversational programs, setup and/or operate sinker/wire EDM machinesProgram/operate graphite CNC machiningOptimize electrode design with the design teamMachine electrodes to required tolerances while meeting expected completion datesDevelop, track, and optimize machining parameters for different materialsDevelop and make any required fixturing to support the EDM areaPerform preventative maintenance of EDM machines as requiredPerform other various machining functions while machines are running to support the operations of the shopMeasurement and inspection of tight tolerance parts using various gauges, indicators, and micrometersBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalency certificate3+ years sinker EDM programming experiencePREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:5+ years CNC EDM set-up, operating, and basic programming experience1+ year experience CNC programming machining for electrodes1+ year of pulling or designing electrodesExperience with CNC EDM hole drilling/hole popper setupExperience reading and interpreting blueprints and experience with GD&TAdvanced knowledge of EDM programmingAdvanced knowledge of EDM work holding5+ years of experience with GF+ wire machinesStrong knowledge of cutting parameters for copper and graphiteAbility to work closely with engineers and provide feedbackExperience with system 3R work holding and roboticsADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassistedLifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this positionAbility to work either 1st or 2nd shifts as well as overtime and weekends as needed; estimated shift times: 1st shift: 7:00 am - 5:30 pm; 2nd shift: 3:30 pm - 2:00 am (2nd shift hires will be required to onboard and meet occasionally on the 1st shift)ITAR REQUIREMENTS:To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S.
