If you are interested in applying programming, machine learning, and AI techniques to complex structured data—while gaining exposure to how analytics supports underwriting, claims, and risk management—this is an opportunity to contribute to impactful initiatives within a growing analytics team.Role DescriptionIf you're analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about solving complex data quality issues, the EDI Operations Specialist role might be your ideal next step. In this role, you'll take ownership of ensuring the accuracy and integrity of EDI data, which is critical for timely and informed business decision-making. Acting as a subject matter expert in policies, coverage, and proprietary systems, you'll validate and analyze claims data and partner with internal stakeholders and external TPAs to resolve anomalies.
You'll lead root cause investigations of data quality problems, implement solutions, and provide guidance to peers while maintaining client-specific coding, mapping, and cross-reference data. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of production EDI data, positioning you as a vital team member in continuous process improvement and system integrity initiatives.Non-exempt: Please note, this position is classified as Non-Exempt under federal wage and hour laws. As such, you will be required to clock in and out for all hours worked and will be eligible for overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a given workweek.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S.

Saint Louis, MO.One of the following combinations of education and insurance industry experience: Bachelor's degree in business analytics, data analytics, data science, computer science, 2 or more years of experience in data and/or operations role.Proficiency in Excel, Word, and OutlookStrong organizational, technical, and communication skillsAbility to solve complex data issues and work independently in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications:4 or more years of experience in a data and/or operations roleExperience with EDI processing or claims systemsFamiliarity with policy/client data validation processesDemonstrated ability to train and guide team membersProtect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information and technology assets against unauthorized disclosure, destruction and/or alteration, in accordance with Safety National policies, standards, and procedures.
