Summary
Baptist Health Louisville is expanding, and our 30+ bed Observation Unit plays a key role in supporting the Emergency Department and telemetry units. We care for low-acuity patients who need short-term evaluation before determining whether admission is required. This fast-paced unit offers strong nurse-to-patient ratios and is well-suited for nurses with Telemetry, ED, ICU/CCU, or other acute-care experience.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive assessments and reassessments.
- Develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care.
- Provide care aligned with hospital policies, professional standards, and our mission and values.
- Evaluate patient responses and adjust care as needed.
- Use strong critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and organizational skills in daily practice.
Minimum Requirements
- Active Kentucky RN License
- BCLS
- ACLS
Preferred Background
- Telemetry, ED, ICU/CCU, or acute-care experience
