Ed Hermes for Phoenix: Campaign ManagerEd Hermes is a community activist, progressive leader, and the leading candidate for Phoenix City Council in district 4. Ed's campaign is looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for progressive politics to join his team as Campaign Manager. This position is through Election Day in November and could extend to a potential run-off in mid-March 2027.The ideal candidate has previous experience in leadership roles on political campaigns, managing staff and contractors, and is highly organized and communicative.Responsibilities:Supervise staff, interns, and contractors, assigning tasks and ensuring accountabilityOversee and implement the campaign's strategic planPrepare and send out regular correspondence to donors, volunteers, and constituentsManage the campaign's budget, expenses, and bill paymentsOversee and collaborate with consultantsMonitor all campaign activities to ensure benchmarks are met and make adjustments as necessarySupport the Finance Director on various fundraising tasks, ensuring financial systems and reporting are organizedSupport the Field Director and provide oversight of field programOversee campaign communications, in collaboration with campaign consultants and contractorsOversee internship and volunteer programMaintain the campaign calendar and coordinate logistics for most campaign eventsWork closely with the candidate on a day to day basisHire staff and consultants as neededManage relationships with unions and other potential allied organizationsRun regular campaign team calls, ensuring attendees are providing regular reports and notes are keptWhat We're Looking For:Previous political campaign or adjacent experience preferredSelf-starter who is willing to work irregular hours in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.A person who is highly organized, detail oriented, competitive, and results-driven.Strong written and verbal communication skillsPrevious experience managing staff, vendors, and contractors is a plusBased in the Phoenix area or willing to relocate
