Position Objective

Essential Job Duties
- Conducts Echocardiograms as requested throughout the Medical Center, including all patient rooms and the emergency room.
- Explains procedure to patients, providing instructions and direct care to ensure accuracy and patient comfort.
- Assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient requirement.
- Recognizes artifacts, eliminates probable sources and troubleshoots minor equipment problems.
- Consistently meets department standards for RVUs while maintaining quality work.
- Processes images acquired from different modalities according to established policies and procedures.
- Performs data entry as it relates to procedures, in PACS and Electronic Health Record.
- Practices radiation safety and ensures that other staff and students are compliant.
- Obtains pertinent clinical data adequately as it relates to procedures performed.
- Analyzes, processes, and reports outcomes in a timely manner.
Educational/Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduated from an accredited ultrasound program specializing in echocardiography
- Two years' experience performing adult echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms
Pay Range
$43—$50 USD
