Job Summary

Full‑time Echo Tech position: $20k sign‑on bonus, 4 nine‑hour shifts with rotating weekend every 12 weeks, call 2‑3 weekdays per month.

Position Overview

Qualified and experienced Echocardiographer to perform high‑quality echocardiograms in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasounds and will be dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of imaging accuracy. This is a full‑time position with the opportunity to contribute to our growing cardiology department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and other specialized imaging procedures.
  • Ensure the highest quality of diagnostic images, performing exams in accordance with protocols and quality assurance standards.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to interpret results and provide comprehensive reports.
  • Provide excellent patient care, including explaining procedures to patients, addressing concerns, and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring that all imaging and diagnostic reports are properly documented.
  • Stay current with technological advancements in echocardiography and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the department.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or CCI upon hire or within 3 months of hire if a student.
  • NH Medical Imaging License upon hire & BLS.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
  • Proficiency in operating echocardiography equipment and interpreting imaging results.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced echocardiographic techniques, such as 3D echocardiography, contrast echocardiography, and/or strain imaging.
  • ACLS certification.
