Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm, three days a week including Saturday coverage. Sign on bonus available.
The Echo Technologist provides ultrasound diagnostic tests for patients under physician supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform 2-D, Doppler, and Color flow ultrasound as directed by physician.
- Perform transesophageal, stress, and contrast echocardiograms.
- Schedule patients and explain procedures.
- Position patients and select appropriate transducer.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment.
- Order and stock ultrasound supplies.
Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology for image interpretation.
- Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and medical staff.
- Adaptability to apply guidelines and procedures appropriately.
- Demonstrated teamwork and strong communication skills.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Licensing
- Must be registered through ARDMS or CCI.
- Those without Echo registration upon hiring must obtain registration within 18 months.
