Job Details: Location: Emeryville, CA (94608). Position Type: Full Time. Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree. Salary: $62,000 - $80,000 per year. Travel: Up to 25%.

We have an immediate opening for an entry-level Environmental Engineer/Scientist/Geologist in our Emeryville office. This role offers a fast‑paced and dynamic work environment where you can apply academic knowledge, develop technical skills, and collaborate with industry professionals on a variety of environmental projects.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fieldwork to support environmental assessment, remediation, and restoration projects, including collection of groundwater, soil, soil vapor, and surface water.
  • Assist Project Technical Leads in preparing high‑quality technical presentations, reports, letters, plans, and proposals.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and analytical laboratories and independently perform subcontractor oversight.
  • Support the design of assessment programs and remedial options for site cleanup, as well as environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance, and permitting activities.
  • Assist in the management, analysis, and interpretation of environmental data using statistical and data visualization tools.
  • Perform data entry and QA/QC of data tables, maps, reports, and other work products.
  • Independently perform research tasks with input from technical experts.
  • Contribute to a team atmosphere through collaboration with technical experts, project managers, colleagues, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geosciences, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Up to 2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) or Geologist in Training (GIT) certification preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently and as part of a team required.
  • Experience with data management, database and office software, and data analysis preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clear driving record required.
  • 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred.
  • Ability to travel required.
