We are seeking a CPA, CPA candidate, or EA to join our small firm. We strive to balance work, life, and family, and promote professional growth. Position requires in office time in West Point, Iowa but also may allow for some remote work.
Duties: Personal, business, non-profit & estate/trust income tax return preparation Assist in tax return review Bookkeeping for a few clients Develop working relationship with clients via phone, email, texts, & web and in-person meetings Assist and provide support to other internal team members as needed. Assist the tax team by gathering tax documentation from clients and distributing final client copies & records Ability to work extra hours during tax season (up to 70 hours per week) Qualifications: CPA, CPA Candidate, or EA credential Have or be able to obtain a PTIN Pass a background check Have 2 years with 1040 preparation experience 1065 and 1120S experience and/or QuickBooks or payroll reporting experience a plus Experience with xzgxqkn Drake Tax a plus Experience working with paperless system a plus
Benefits: Salary starting at $65k, depending on experience and qualifications Health, Dental Insurance benefits available SIMPLE IRA with matching on up to 3% of wages 8 Paid Holidays per year 2 week PTO begins accruing upon date of hire Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Bonus/Commission: No
