Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Director of Software Engineering for our client, a successful and growing SaaS adtech company with products that serve e-commerce companies! You’ll manage and ensure the successful development of software platforms; as well as work with executive leadership to shape, develop, and execute the company’s technology strategy. This is a full time, direct hire, remote role.

• Compensation range is $150-200k, flexible, depending on experience

What you will be doing:

• Individually contribute to full stack software engineering while leading an international team of engineers. 70% of the time will be hands on development, 30% will be focused on project and team leadership
• Project management- creating requirements and roadmaps, sprints, resource allocation, timeline and cost estimates, etc
• Develop enhancements and new features for this SaaS that focuses on data enrichment and business intelligence.
• Contribute to and oversee the development, deployment and maintenance of software products on a tech stack that includes React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL in an AWS environment
• Work with executive leadership to develop and execute IT new features and product ideas
• Ensure the organization stays on top of emerging technologies and ecommerce industry trends for business growth and innovation

What you will need:

• 10+ years in hands on full stack software development, with a focus on the backend (70%)
• Demonstrated experience leading/managing projects with an international engineering team
• Experience in React, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Experience in a SaaS environment; preference for someone with adtech experience
• Experience with Agentive AI is a plus
• Experience with Big Data in volume, velocity and variety
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or a related field preferred
