E-Commerce Coordinator
Ashland, Oregon | In office four days per week, one remote
The Opportunity
Great e-commerce execution depends on getting hundreds of small details right.
A product can have great content and strong demand, but if the listing is suppressed, the price is wrong, inventory is not showing correctly, or an issue sits unresolved, customers may never get the chance to buy it.
We're looking for an E-Commerce Coordinator who wants to learn how those pieces come together and help keep our products performing across our online retail channels. You'll monitor product listings, work with data and reports, help resolve issues with Amazon and other retailers, and support the day-to-day work that keeps our e-commerce business moving.
Can you spot the small issue before it becomes a bigger customer problem?
If you're organized, curious, and like figuring out why something isn't working, keep reading.
What You'll Do
- Keep Products Buyable. Regularly review our e-commerce channels to make sure products are live, in stock, correctly priced, and available for customers to purchase.
- Spot Problems Early. Pull and review reports to identify suppressed listings, product-data issues, unusual activity, or other problems that could affect availability and performance.
- Follow Issues Through. Open and manage support cases with Amazon and other retail partners, track progress, and stay with issues until they are resolved or appropriately escalated.
- Listen to the Customer. Monitor product reviews and ratings, identify patterns, and surface useful insights or potential areas for improvement.
- Support E-Commerce Operations. Assist with shortage and pricing claims, inventory or shipment creation, product-data maintenance, and other recurring operational processes.
- Protect the Customer Experience. Verify pricing, merchandising, and product information so customers see accurate and consistent information across our retail channels.
- Make the Process Better. Maintain documentation, learn how our systems and processes work, and look for practical ways to improve accuracy and efficiency as your knowledge grows.
What You Bring
- Attention to Detail. You understand that small errors can create bigger problems downstream, so you notice what is off and care about getting it right.
- Analytical Curiosity. You're comfortable working with data and spreadsheets and willing to investigate when the numbers or information do not make sense.
- Follow-Through. If you open a case, discover an issue, or take responsibility for a task, you keep track of it rather than assuming someone else will handle it.
- Organized Execution. You can manage recurring work, competing priorities, and open issues without losing track of the details.
- A Learning Mindset. E-commerce platforms, retailer requirements, reporting tools, and internal processes change. You are willing to keep learning as they do.
- Clear Communication. When you don't know something, you ask. When an issue needs attention, you explain it clearly and help keep the work moving.
What It Takes
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to develop more advanced skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and keep recurring work organized.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn new tools and processes.
- Some exposure to e-commerce, retail, digital marketing, business operations, or a related environment through professional experience, internships, education, or comparable hands-on experience.
What Sets You Apart
- Experience with Amazon Vendor Central, Seller Central, or another major e-commerce platform is helpful, but it isn't required. You'll also have a head start if you've worked with product data, online merchandising, retailer reporting, or large sets of information in Excel.
- A degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related area can provide a useful foundation, but relevant experience and demonstrated capability matter more than a particular degree.
How You'll Grow
This role is designed to build a strong foundation in e-commerce operations. You'll learn how products move through major online retail platforms, how listing and inventory problems affect performance, how retailer support processes work, and how data can be used to identify issues before they become larger problems.
As you build knowledge and demonstrate strong judgment and follow-through, you'll take increasing ownership of recurring processes, resolve more issues independently, and contribute ideas for improving how the team works.
Is Blue Marble Right for You?
We're intentionally building a culture of people who lead by example, challenge one another respectfully, take ownership of their work, and want to continue learning and improving.
Blue Marble may be exactly the place you're looking for if...
You take ownership of your words, actions, and work product.
You value honest, hard conversations and long-term progress over short-term comfort.
You enjoy solving meaningful problems and seek purposeful work.
You see feedback as an opportunity to improve and grow.
You naturally look for ways to make things better and help others succeed.
You ask questions when something isn't clear.
You believe character matters as much as competence.
You proactively bring solutions to problems.
On the other hand, you probably won't enjoy working here if...
You spend more time making excuses or pointing fingers than solving problems.
You consistently avoid difficult conversations.
You believe your responsibility ends with your job description.
You need someone to constantly tell you what to do.
You become defensive when receiving constructive feedback.
You believe being right is more important than finding the best solution.
You consistently wait for instructions rather than taking appropriate initiative.
You have difficulty acknowledging mistakes and learning from them.
You're primarily looking for a paycheck rather than an opportunity to meaningfully contribute.
We're not looking for perfect people.
We're looking for capable people who want to keep getting better and who bring their best to the people and work around them.
If this sounds like you, let's make great things together.
This description isn't exhaustive; responsibilities may evolve as Blue Marble grows.
Blue Marble is an equal opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants without regard to any characteristic protected by applicable law and provide reasonable accommodations throughout the hiring process.
