Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced E-Billing Specialist to manage electronic invoice submissions for a law firm serving large institutional clients. This role requires strong legal billing experience, knowledge of client billing guidelines, and hands-on experience with e-billing platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit electronic legal invoices in accordance with client billing guidelines and fee agreements.
- Manage high-volume e-billing workflows while ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Set up new clients and matters within electronic billing platforms.
- Submit invoices, budgets, timekeeper rate requests, and accruals through client billing portals.
- Monitor invoice status, research rejections, and follow up on delayed submissions.
- Prepare and submit appeals for rejected or reduced invoices.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client billing inquiries.
- Coordinate with attorneys and internal finance teams to address billing issues and complete special projects.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of legal e-billing experience,preferably within a law firm.
- Hands-on experience submitting electronic invoices through third-party e-billing platforms.
- Strong understanding of outside counsel guidelines, client billing requirements, and legal invoicing procedures.
