DG Registered Vascular Sonographer Dual Registered
A DG Registered Vascular Sonographer Dual Registered is responsible for performing various vascular and diagnostic ultrasound exams. This role is responsible for interpreting and analyzing ultrasound images to provide comprehensive reports, as well as maintaining patient records and facilitating effective communication among the healthcare team. Working under direct supervision, this position is responsible for operating, maintaining and preparing ultrasound equipment and supplies for patient testing.
Essential Job Function
- Conducts ultrasound examinations using advanced imaging technology, capturing clear and detailed images to aid in accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and monitoring patient progress.
- Interprets and analyzes ultrasound images to provide comprehensive reports for physicians and aid in timely and accurate diagnosis for appropriate patient management and improved healthcare outcomes.
- Maintains and prepares ultrasound equipment and supplies for patient testing to ensure optimal performance and image quality.
- Adheres to strict safety protocols during ultrasound procedures to minimize risks and ensure patient well-being.
- Provides excellent patient care by addressing patient concerns, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout the imaging process to increase patient satisfaction and cooperation.
- Maintains and reviews patient records and charts, and files test and examination results in chart after physician review to support efficient healthcare delivery and facilitate effective communication among the healthcare team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Graduate of an accredited Radiology, Imaging or related educational program and/or ultrasound program
Experience
- Required: 1 year
- Required: Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) by CCI and Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist by ARDMS or Registered Ultrasound Technologist by ARRT RT(S) BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
