DT Assembler/FinisherDT Assembler/Finishers are responsible for construction and quality of a core and coil assembly, associated tank procedures, prep tank cover, insert unit, and installation and connection of internal and external accessories. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.Essential Functions:Knowledge of how to read and work from mechanical and electrical drawingsOperate forklift and/or spot for forklift driverAssist in assembly of woodworkAssist cable cutter in stacking of cut lead cables into storage basketsApply epoxy on core limbs with paint brushClean tooling by hand wiping with cleanersCover product with plastic to prevent contaminationMove empty material carts from department to departmentSort and count bolts, rods, and hardwareHook up transformers to lift lugs under direction of experience employeeAssist in loading and unloading parts from forklifts, trucks, and palletsChalking of tanksStanding fire watch on welding operations with proper instructionPrepare tank and coverInstall and connect internal and external accessories and adjust to proper clearanceProcess unit for testing and prepare for shippingKeep work area safe, neat, and cleanHot oil systemsVacuum pumpsScaffoldingLaddersBattery powered lifting equipmentTools and Equipment:Various hand toolsCranesForkliftsPower toolsHydraulic equipmentAir toolsRequirements:The physical demands of this job include, but are not limited to, standing for long periods, occasionally lifting up to 60 pounds, required to walk, sit, use hands, fingers, and arms, reach with hands and arms, climb ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must also be able to see in close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
