DSP with Medication Certification

About the Role:

Wright Choice Healthcare Agency LLC is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Night Shift Direct Support Professional (DSP) with Medication Certification to join our growing team in Lancaster, OH. Responsibilities:

Administer medications accurately and in accordance with individual care plans and state regulations

Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility

Implement and follow individualized support plans (ISPs) to promote independence and quality of life

Document daily progress, medication administration, and any behavioral or health changes

Transport and accompany individuals to appointments, community outings, and activities

Communicate effectively with supervisors, healthcare providers, and family members

Respond appropriately to behavioral challenges using approved crisis intervention techniques

Requirements:

Valid Medication Administration Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)

Prior experience as a DSP, caregiver, or in a related human services role preferred

High school diploma or GED required

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and reference checks

Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills

Compassionate, patient, and dependable with a person-centered care approach
