DSP System Architect

Role Title: Digital Signal Processing System Architect (DSP)

Location: Irvine, CA

Pay Rate: $109,700 - $175,000 base + bonuses, RSUs and benefits ($318,000 - $350,000 total compensation)

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelors in Engineering and 8+ years of related experience or Masters degree and 6+ years
• of related experience or PhD and 3+ years of related experience
• Expertise in Digital Communication Theory & Digital Signal Processing algorithms
• Experience in C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink
• Experience in equalizers & timing recovery
• Experience architecting communications systems for high-performance ASIC based products
• Good hands-on lab skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop specification, architecture, and micro-architecture of digital signal processing and
• communications algorithms for Robotics, UAV and Automotive applications
• Bit-exact C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink system modeling and simulation
• Develop and run system level simulation suites of the physical layer transceivers and
• perform vector matching verification with RTL simulations
• Define and document chip requirements, architecture, verification and lab test plan
• Lab testing and debug of ASICs

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced DSP System Architect to develop the architecture, specifications, and micro-architecture of advanced digital signal processing and wireless communication algorithms for Robotics, UAV, and Automotive applications. In this role, you will perform system-level modeling and simulation using C/C++, MATLAB, and Simulink, define chip architectures and verification plans, support RTL vector matching, and drive ASIC lab validation and debug activities. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in digital communications and DSP algorithms, hands-on lab experience, strong communication skills, and a proven background architecting high-performance ASIC-based communication systems.
